Instructional Continuity
This plan provides guidance for maintaining teaching and learning in the event of an emergency or other disruption. The goal is to ensure that students can continue accessing instruction, assignments, course materials, and support when normal school operations are interrupted.
Google Classroom
Assignments, activities, emergency lesson plans, and related resources should be readily available through the learning management system.
Curriculum Resources
District pacing guides and digital instructional resources are available to teachers through the Google Curriculum Resources Shared Drive in their district portal.
Flexibility for Students
Teacher discretion should be used to provide appropriate flexibility when a student reports a loss of power or connectivity.

The District designated August 20–21, 2026 as Google Classroom Days. Instructional staff should explicitly guide students in locating the assignments and resources in Google Classroom that they may need to continue instruction during a disruption in learning.

Preparing for Instructional Continuity
School leaders and teachers play an important role in ensuring that students know where to find the materials they need before a disruption occurs.
Keep Learning Resources Ready
School leaders are to support teachers in ensuring that learning assignments, activities, and related resources are readily available in Google Classroom and through district curriculum resources. Emergency lesson plans should also be available in the learning management system for use during a disruption.
Ensure Access to Course Materials
Teachers must ensure that students have access to the appropriate course textbooks, instructional materials, and resources through the learning management system.
Use District Curriculum Resources
All teachers have access to the Google Curriculum Resources Shared Drive through their district portal. District pacing guides are organized by grade level and subject area and include digital content that can be shared with students.
Provide Flexibility When Needed
Teacher discretion should be used when a student reports a loss of power or internet connectivity. Appropriate flexibility should be provided so students are not disadvantaged by circumstances outside of their control.
During a Disruption in Learning
Google Classroom serves as the central location for continuing instruction when normal school operations are interrupted.
Continue Instruction in Google Classroom
Teachers will use the learning management system to provide assignments, activities, emergency lesson plans, course materials, and other resources needed to support continuity of instruction.
Connect Live with Google Meet
Teachers may activate the classroom-specific Google Meet link in Google Classroom to meet live with students. Each link is unique to the class, must be activated by the teacher, and supports automatic attendance records.
Connectivity
Schools may share the resources below with families who need help identifying home internet options. Eligibility, availability, and program terms are determined by each provider or organization.
