This plan provides guidance for maintaining teaching and learning in the event of a disruption in learning due to an emergency. The goal is to support continuity of instruction so that students can continue to receive world-class educational experiences.

Google Classroom
Learning assignments, activities, and related resources should be readily available in Google Classroom and through the Google Curriculum Resources Shared Drive. In the event of a disruption in learning, emergency lesson plans should also be posted in the learning management system.
Curriculum Resources
All teachers have access to the Google Curriculum Resources Shared Drive in Google Drive. District pacing guides are organized by grade level for each subject area and include digital content that can be shared with students.
Flexibility for Students
Teacher discretion should be used in providing flexibility to students in the event of a reported loss of power or connectivity.
Google Classroom Days | August 20 and 21, 2026
The District designated August 20 and 21, 2026 as Google Classroom Days to support instructional continuity readiness. During these designated days, instructional staff were asked to explicitly guide students in locating the assignments and resources in Google Classroom that students would access to continue instruction during a disruption in learning.

Preparing for Instructional Continuity
The District briefing identifies the resources that should be available to support continuity of instruction during a disruption in learning.
Keep Learning Resources Ready
School leaders are to support teachers in ensuring that learning assignments, activities, and related resources are readily available in Google Classroom and through the Google Curriculum Resources Shared Drive. In the event of a disruption in learning, emergency lesson plans should also be posted in the learning management system.
Ensure Access to Course Materials
Teachers must ensure that students have access to the appropriate course textbooks and materials in the learning management system.
Use District Curriculum Resources
All teachers have access to the Google Curriculum Resources Shared Drive in Google Drive. District pacing guides are organized by grade level for each subject area. Resources available within the pacing guides contain digital content that can be shared with students.
Provide Flexibility When Needed

During a Disruption in Learning
In the event of a disruption to learning or a school closure, teachers will utilize the learning management system to ensure the continuity of instruction.

Connect Live with Google Meet
Teachers may also activate classroom-specific Google Meet links in Google Classroom to go live with their students. These links are unique to each class, must be activated by the teacher, and will take automatic attendance records.
